3 Tips to a STRESS-FREE, Happy Morning

Each morning you have the opportunity to start fresh and make your day as great as it can be.  But nothing can derail your day faster than a chaotic morning where you feel out of control and everything seems to turn sideways!

 

We want to provide you with tools that are SIMPLE, SUSTAINABLE & FUN so that you have the best shot possible at a successful day as the In Demand Woman that you are!

 

Tip #1: Get up early!

Of course, “early” is a subjective term depending on your lifestyle, responsibilities, childcare, etc.  General rule of thumb…Get up at least 2 hours before you have to be anywhere/help anyone else. You can use your phone alarm with the automatic “Monday through Friday” setting so you don’t have to think about this at all…once it’s set, you are good to go every day!  Getting up early gives you time to yourself.  You could use this time to journal, make your daily to-do list, read your news, meditate… AND… do the next two steps!

 

 

 

Tip #2: Workout First!

Let’s be real, if you put off your workout until lunchtime or the evening, how likely are you to skip it? Chances are probably at least 50%—on a good day!  So why wait?  If you get up early enough to get in your 30

minutes of activity, you can check that off your to-do list and get on with your day.

Working out first thing in the morning is easy.  But just to give you a little extra inspiration:

1) go on a 30 minute jog/run;

2) do a 30 minute circuit workout

3) turn on your favorite workout video.

If you are a gym person…all you have to do is plan for the drive time, but the gym is awesome first thing in the morning…not too crowded and the people there are full of positive energy.

 

 

Tip #3: Eat Breakfast!

This truly is the most important meal of the day [1].  Even if you don’t work out, you need to start your day off right by fueling your body!  During sleep, the body is recovering and restoring and FASTING!  When you wake up, your body needs fuel to jump start your metabolism and get everything ready to work at maximum efficiency.  As an active individual, if you skip breakfast, you are just setting yourself up to crash later…resulting in hunger pains, hangry moods (yes it’s a real thing!) and you are more likely to overeat the rest of the day.  If you think you don’t have time to eat breakfast, first re-read Tip #1 and then check out our favorite breakfast recipe… Super Easy Egg Casserole!

 

We hope you find these 3 tips helpful to get your mornings off to a great start.  Once your morning routine is under control, you will feel ready to tackle all of those tasks demanded of you and big dreams you want to accomplish!
