Learning to Heal from Being Superwoman
We know you. You can do it all. You are the best mom, the best wife, the best friend, the best co-worker. You love to help out when your friends ask. You love to raise your hand and say “I’m in!”. You love all of it… until you don’t.
We know this, because we are so alike. We are both the ultimate YES girl. ” Yes, I can pick up your child from school.” “Yes, I can do that project by tomorrow.” “Yes, I can organize the dinner for our next girls night.”
And when we say YES all the time, we are saying NO to ourselves.
We have to break the cycle.
We have to guard our energy.
We have to be willing to disappoint others.
Sometimes Self-Care Isn’t Sexy
Mary Allison says, “Self-care is how you want to feel and prioritizing what makes you feel that way. Sometimes self-care isn’t sexy and we need to listen to our own inner guidance.”
Self-care is how you want to feel and prioritizing what makes you feel that way.
Self-care comes in so many forms. It comes in the form of practicing self-awareness and expressing your true feelings.
Another form of self-care is communicating with those in your life what your needs are and how their actions impact you personally. Using statements such as “I feel ___ when you ___” or even just asking for help.
Why Self-Care is Critical for the In Demand Woman
Self-care is critical for the In Demand Woman for so many reasons. When you have constant demands on your time and your energy, you need to take back your power and recharge your batteries.
When you listen to your inner guidance, you will find happiness, abundance and love.
In Demand Women want to do it all. And you can, Sister! You just have to remember to put yourself in the driver’s seat and express what your needs are. When you listen to your inner guidance, you will find happiness, abundance and love–all while meeting the demands you want to meet!
