For those of you are not the biggest fans of the Power Greens Juice, here’s another healthy juice option that is packed with energy, vitamins, anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. But what about this juice makes it so great? The ingredients of course!
Turmeric–primarily known for its anti-inflammatory properties but is also a strong anti-oxidant; research shows it’s linked to anti-aging, treats brain diseases and cancer and can also help with depression.
Ginger root–known for reducing inflammation, pain and nausea; also helps with cardiovascular health, digestion and cold/flu relief.
Carrots–rich in vitamins, especially Vitamin A; antioxidant risk and can help reduce risks of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Oranges–rich in Vitamin C which is known for strengthening the immune system; also great for your skin, good for your heart and can help lower cholesterol.
This can be made in a high-power blender like a Vitamix or in your favorite juicer.
- 1 cup water
- 1 bunch fresh carrots (full carrots preferred to baby carrots, but either will work!)
- 1 navel orange
- 1/2 lemon (Meyer or regular!)
- 1-2″ fresh ginger root (depending on how spicy you like it!)
- 1-2″ fresh turmeric root
- Blend all ingredients until smooth. Strain out pulp. Drink and enjoy!
*If you prefer it cold, add ice cubes and blend or make ahead of time and refrigerate 2-4 hours.
